The Journal of Chemical Education is a refereed journal published by the Division of Chemical Education of the American Chemical Society.
 
The research paper entitled “De Lorenzo’s Four Interesting Mysteries Verified”  submitted by L-NU as nominee to the REPUBLIKA award landed as the only research paper who qualified to be the official entry of Region I being the only paper published in a refereed journal
 
The research paper was released in the Journal of Chemical Education, a refereed journal published by the Division of Chemical Education of the American Chemical Society.
 
Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA)

L-NU conducted the Water Sanitation Project in Dagupan City. This is a project of the World Health Organization thru the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
The Philippine Department of Health hired the expertise of COSEY Int’l and created the Technical Advisory Management (TAM) to implement the project.
Dr. Jaime Galvez Tan is the TAM team leader in Dagupan City, one of the six (6) beneficiary cities of the project.
L-NU RDMO was chosen to be the research arm of the project here in Dagupan City. This is a three-year project that the RDMO will need the expertise of the L-NU faculty members in the future.
 
Sustainable Sanitation For East Asia (SuSEA)

LNU has worked with Sustainable Sanitation For East Asia (SuSEA) Program of WHO and DOH in the conduct of water sanitation project of   Dagupan City.
 
This is a project of the World Health Organization thru the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
 
International Practicum Training Program

In 2002, the LNU College of Tourism is the only school in region 1, re-accredited by the International Practicum Training Program of the CHED and her traning partner the SERVIECON, which is based in Singapore. Today, Tourism and Engineering students are sent to USA and Singapore for their training.

Dream Search International, Inc. is an overseas education advisory and a student agency. Service On Line Corporation (SOL)
2003
 
SOL appointed the following employment agencies in Singapore for an on-the-job- training of LNU students: Optimus Consulting Services Pte Ltd, GMP Recruitment Services Pte Ltd, and Omri Management International. SOL recruit trainees from LNU and LNU cooperates with SOL to deploy its trainees to relevant establishments in Singapore through the three agencies mentioned above. This agreement was entered in 2003.
 
Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)

SIFE, an international organization with financing from HSBC, has the propelling vision to promote livelihood potentials that may be adopted by other branches of the organization across the globe.
 
LNU has received grants from SIFE_HSBC in 2007. for a 3-year project in financing the students’ entrepreneurial activities in Bangus Processing. LNU – SIFE won as Regional Champion and as national semi-finalist during the 2007 exposition of Livelihood Projects Competition.
 
PAMAG Philippine American Medical Association of Georgia

The University President, Dr. Gonzalo T. Duque with the Philippine-American Medical Association of Georgia (PAMAG) conducted a large-scale medical mission in the City of Dagupan.
To attain its mission, LNU solicited the support of the Department of Health (DOH), High Ranking and Provincial Government Officials, Rotary Club, Region 1 Medical Hospital and the Villaflor Hospital.
The medical mission benefited more than 80 patients with surgical operations including eye surgeries and surgeries for implant of pace makers and over 3, 000 patients with general consultation, treatment and distribution of medicines.

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)

LNU with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources supports the Green Philippines program for environmental protection, enhancement and economic growth since April of 2007.
 
Center For Human Rights Education (CHR)

L-NU is the City Center For Human Rights Education: Home base for Pangasinan Studies
 
While L-NU visibly spearheads and participates in various socio-economic development projects and environmental protection programs, it has expanded its service to public by assuming the role and responsibilities as City Center for Human Rights.
 
Among the activities initiated were Human Rights Education to NSTP students, Human Rights (HR) Awareness Seminar for the Officers of the Barangay Human Rights Action Centers (BHRAC), HR Awareness to PTCA Officers and Barangay Officials, Orientation to HR Educational trainers, HR Education to Pre-school Teachers in Dagupan City and Forum on International Humanitarian Law.
 
Department of Social Works and Development (DSWD)

L-NU is a Person with Disability (PWD) Friendly Establishment in Dagupan City
 
The Community Extension Office is linked with DSWD. Thru its project on breaking barriers for young adults with disabilities, LNU provide free training to the disabled recipients as well as Dental Check-up and Psychological Testing.
 
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)

L-NU is the first to offer Caregiver Program in Dagupan City.
 
With qualified faculty members and state-of the-art facilities for the said program, TESDA, Region 1 granted LNU its permit to operate six-month caregiver program that was first in Dagupan City.
 
At present, L-NU pursues TESDA’s vision of training individuals for skills development and competencies. Together with TESDA, LNU grants the Pangulong Gloria Scholarship to more or less 1000 deserving individuals in Dagupan City and other nearby municipalities of Pangasinan.
 
Department of Tourism

DOT and LNU established a working relationship in 2003 at providing BS Tourism major in Travel Management a state training requirement as part of the college’s curriculum.
 
Bureau of Jail and Management Penology (BJMP)
2007
 
LNU, in cooperation with CHED and TESDA, offered Ladderized Education Program in Computer Operations to the Inmates of the Bureau of Jail and Management Penology (BJMP) in Dagupan City.
 
The project is an implementation of the MPA thesis entitled Ladderized Education Project for the BJMP of Dagupan City of Mrs. Perla Tamayo, LNU faculty, who completed her degree, MPA, in March 2007. The MOA for the joint project of CHED, TESDA, and LNU was signed on April 24, 2007. Thirty (30) PGMA-LEP Scholarship grants were given to the inmates by the TESDA Regional Office and Provincial Office. The project was formally endorsed to the Community Relations Office in June 2007 for implementation and for its formal declaration as a community outreach project of LNU.

LNU is linked with the Department of Health for most of its research endeavors (i.e. sanitation projects) and its academic extension activities.
 
North Luzon Growth Quadrangle Area
2005
 
LNU teams up with CHED and the North Luzon Growth Quadrangle Area in 2005 to spearhead in Pangasinan the Higher Education Language Proficiency Program (HELPP). Open to all graduating students and professionals, the project HELPP is a pioneering program, which features an international accreditation in English. It provides training and immersion in information, communication technology to enable graduating students and the graduate of any course to better quality for employments in the Philippines and anywhere in the world.

LNU was designated by the Provincial Government of Pangasinan with the University President as Chairman of the research committee to validate the chartering of Pangasinan as a political unit.

L-NU College of Tourism is the pioneer accredited college in Region 1 by the International Practicum Training Program (IPTP) of the CHED. The College of Tourism is linked with the International Practicum, Training Program in Singapore since 2002, through the Searchhaus PTE.LTD. LNU tourism students are being screened for deployment in the United States and Singapore. Qualified students for training in the above countries are given allowances with free airfare and accommodation.
