L-NU-JPIA Chapter Bags Awards in the 6th
Annual Regional Convention
The National Federation of
Junior Institute of Accountants – Region 1
and Cordilleras Council’s 6th Annual
Regional Convention was successfully held
last Feb. 22–24, 2008 at Vista Delas Islas
Hundred Islands Resort, Alaminos City,
Pangasinan. The said convention hosted by
fifty five delegates from different
school/universities from Ilocos Norte,
Ilocos Sur, Baguio and Pangasinan. The
participating schools are Saint Louis
University (SLU), Divine Word College of
Laoag (DWCL), University of Northern
Philippines (UNP), University of Baguio (UB),
Pass College and Lyceum-Northwestern
University (LNU), wherein Domingo Lucena II,
a 4th yr. Accountancy student and the only
representative of the L-NU brought home the
bacon of success for winning 2nd place in
the Business Law and Taxation Quiz Bee, and
ranked as 4th place in the Punongbayan and
Araullo Auditing Theory Quiz & 5th place in
the KPMG-RESA MASquerade & SGV Cup II
respectively.
The Lyceum-Northwestern
University JPIA Chapter is one of the
outstanding chapters in the Region for
sending delegates in all major activities
organized by the Council. This would not be
possible without the support of Mrs.
Genoveva Y. Reyes, Dean, College of Business
Education.

Advicer, JPIA President L-NU Chapter, who
always look forward in developing and
bringing out the best JPIAns in the chapter.
CBE Department Wins Big
Lyceum-Northwestern University celebrated
its Founder’s Day last February 20-24, 2008.
The said celebration was participated by
different departments and organizations.
Various activities were held such as food
fest, theater shows, sports, games and
others. The College of Business Education
stands out in this celebration by winning
several awards.
